A Regulars restaurant loyalty card is a digital points or stamp card that diners keep in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Guests join by scanning a QR code at the table or the door. Your staff scan the card at payment, and the reward shows up on the guest's phone, with no app to download.
Why does a loyalty card matter for a restaurant?
A restaurant lives on the second visit. The first one might come from a review or a walk past your window. The second, third and tenth come from a good meal and a reason to return. A loyalty card is that reason, sitting right on the guest's phone.
Restaurants also have uneven weeks. Friday and Saturday fill up. Monday and Tuesday can be quiet. With a wallet card you can reach the people who already like your food and give them a nudge on the nights you need it.
The dashboard shows who is new, who comes back, and who has not been in for 30 days. That last group is where a we miss you message does its quiet work.
How do restaurants use Regulars?
Points on the bill
Give points per dollar so a big family dinner earns more than a solo lunch. Fair for everyone.
Slow weeknights
Choose your quiet nights. The slow day boost message goes out to bring regulars in for dinner.
Takeout regulars
Stamp the card at pickup. The guest who orders every Thursday gets rewarded too.
Birthday dinners
Ask for a birthday at sign up. A birthday treat brings in the whole table.
What rewards fit a restaurant card?
Good restaurant rewards feel generous but cost you little. Starters, desserts and drinks without alcohol are easy wins.
What messages can a restaurant send to diners?
You can send short messages that show on the card and can pop up on the lock screen. Six automatic messages are on by default. Here are samples from a made-up restaurant.
Less is more here. Customers can turn messages off anytime. For win-back ideas, read how to win back customers who stopped coming, and for weeknights see slow day promotions.
How do I set up a restaurant loyalty card?
You can be ready before Friday service.
- Make your card. Add your logo and colours, choose points or stamps, and set your rewards.
- Show the QR code. Put the counter poster at the host stand, or add the code to table tents and receipts.
- Scan at payment. Servers sign in with a PIN and scan the card with any phone or tablet.

Questions people ask
Should a restaurant use stamps or points?
Points per dollar often suit restaurants, because a solo lunch and a family dinner are very different bills. Stamps per visit work well if your checks are similar in size, like a lunch spot.
How do servers add points at the table?
The guest shows the card on their phone and the server scans it with any phone or tablet. Staff sign in with a 4 to 6 digit PIN, so you can see who stamped what.
Can I fill slow weeknights with a loyalty card?
Yes. Pick your quiet weekdays and the slow day boost message goes out to your cardholders. You can also send your own short message any time.
Does Regulars connect to my POS?
No. Regulars works on its own with a quick scan, so it does not depend on which POS you use. The only integration is Mindbody, which is for studios.
What information do I need from guests?
Just a first name. You can also choose to ask for email, phone or birthday, and a consent checkbox covers messages outside the wallet.
